Pinewood Automotive Intelligence™ (Pinewood.AI), the leading cloud-based full-service technology provider to automotive retailers and OEMs, is now offering the next phase of integrations with its payment partner, Bumper, via the Pinewood Automotive Intelligence™ Platform. Following the launch of Pay by Bank, Pay by Card and Pay by Link services on the system in April 2025, the Bumper PayPad method is also now available to dealers and OEMs using the Pinewood.AI system.

 

Together with the existing Bumper services on the Pinewood Automotive Intelligence™ Platform, the integration of PayPad enables Pinewood.AI users to access Bumper Pro, Bumper’s full suite of payment tools for dealerships and OEMs. Bumper Pro helps automotive retailers reduce card transaction fees, automate workflows, and gain clearer visibility into sales and aftersales performance.

 

The powerful PayPad solution equips customers of Pinewood.AI with a unified payment experience, enabling them to process every type of transaction through Bumper, including in-store PoS payments, remote card transactions, secure bank-to-bank transfers and flexible Buy Now, Pay Later options.

 

The integration will save time for dealerships by allowing payments to be viewed directly on the PayPad. It is also set to slash administration time, as all payments will be consolidated in one place, under a single payment provider.

The announcement follows news earlier this year, where it was confirmed that Bumper would become Pinewood.AI’s sole provider of open banking services in the UK. The two tech companies have held a long-standing partnership with Bumper’s PayLater service offered through Pinewood.AI’s vehicle health check tool.
